RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - The city council of Richmond say they want to make your nights out on the town safer, with a new definition about what constitutes a night club in the city.
The ordinance passed Monday enforces security standards that need to be met by any new night clubs that open in the city.
These rules originally took effect in 2011 but the Richmond Times-Dispatch reportsthat only problematic nightclubs were targeted. Now all nightclubs are responsible for meeting security standards.
