(WTVR) – The coffee table revolution is upon us. On Sunday, Lenovo unveiled what it’s calling the first “table PC” – a computer that can lay flat on any surface so that two or more people can use the device at the same time. Something easily achieved when you realize the screen is a whopping 27-inches.
The Windows 8 Pro tablet is definitely one of the more unusual products to be announced at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Officially dubbed the IdeaCentre Horizon Table PC, Lenovo hopes to make the product available by "beginning in the early Summer" with a price tag of $1,699.
When you're not doubling up on table power, the computer can transform into a desktop for high-speed personal computing.
There's a trade-off though, with just two hours of battery life and a weight of almost 20 lbs., you're likely never going to want to be too far away from a wall-socket.
