Tokyo, Japan (CNN) - The fish that fetched well over a million dollars in Japan is a bluefin tuna that weighed in at a whopping 222 kilograms. That's a little less than 500 lbs.
It was bought by the head of a popular sushi chain for a record price of $1.76 million.
How many people will it serve?
The owner says the fish is big enough to make 10,000 pieces of sushi.
So just to break even, he'd have to charge $176 a slice.
But reports say he plans to sell it to his customers for much less.
