(CNN) - 2012 was a good year for Ford around the world. The automaker said its Focus model will be the top-selling vehicle worldwide when final figures for the year are counted.
It said new Focus registrations totaled nearly 738,000 through September and was on track to sell more than two million vehicles in the U.S. in 2012.
It's the second year in a row Ford has topped the number. The automaker is the only brand to surpass two million in U.S. sales since 2007.
