DEL CITY, Oklahoma (WTVR) -- An interstate in an Oklahoma City suburb has reopened after a massive pile-up shut down the highway for hours Christmas morning.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said I-40W was shut down for two miles in Del City, a suburb of Oklahoma City, after an accident involving over twenty vehicles.
KOCO-TV reported that 12 people were injured in the crash.
Officials said the victims were transported to area hospitals with “non-life threatening" injuries.
The roadway reopened around 8:15 a.m.
