NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WTVR) – The NTSB and FAA are investigating a plane crash that happened this afternoon.

It happened around 2:30 p.m. at the Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport.

The Newport News Police Department said a plane hit a hanger.  Keith Holloway, a spokesperson for the NTSB, confirmed that someone was flying a Piper PA 28.  One person was on board, but there were no significant injuries.
