Hanukkah begins at sunset Saturday evening. Sunset times for much of the area will occur just before 5 p.m., ranging from 4:48 p.m. near the coast (including the Northern Neck & Middle Peninsula) to 4:56 p.m. in the western part of the state. Sunset will be just after 5 p.m. for southwestern Virginia.
