CAMPBELL COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) -- A 5-year-old Campbell County boy is receiving gifts and greetings from all over the world.
Nathan has been battling cancer in his brain and spine and is undergoing three different types of chemotherapy.
So after he asked for cards from police, firefighters and medics for Christmas, the responses have been pouring in.
Every week a few letters would stream in, until a Virginia State Trooper asked Nathan's mom if he could send out a mass email.
Now, the little boy is getting thousands of cards from each state and from over 25 countries. That equates to up to 400 packages a day.
Sometimes the first responders will show up in person.
Nathan's family is donating many of the gifts to organizations that can pass them on to needy children.
