STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – Fire investigators have yet to determine what started an early-morning fire that destroyed a Stafford County home.
No one was home when the fire started, Stafford County Fire and Rescue Department Assistant Chief Mark Doyle wrote in an email.
Crews were called to the 700 block of Cropp Road in the Hartwood area of Stafford around 2:40 a.m. to fight the fire. Doyle said the home is in an “non-hydrant area,” so additional water tankers were called in to help fight the fire.
Damage estimates are not yet available.
