On Your Menu: French Style Green Beans

  • 3  (10oz.) packages frozen French style green beans
  • 5 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 4 medium tomatoes
  • 3 Tablespoons sugar
  • salt and pepper to taste
  1. Cook green beans and drain. 
  2. Fry bacon, drain and crumble. 
  3. Chop onions and saute in reserved bacon fat. 
  4. Add tomatoes, sugar, salt and pepper. 
  5. Cover and simmer until soft,  about 25 minutes. 
  6. Add green beans and crumbled bacon.
  7. Mix together and serve.
