RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) — Just days after the conclusion of the 2012 General Election, Terry McAuliffe is already looking ahead to 2013.

Thursday, McAuliffe announced that he would run as a Democratic candidate for the Governor of Virginia. This comes just days after U.S. Senator and fellow Democrat, Mark Warner said he would decide whether or not he would run for governor by Thanksgiving.

Currently two Republicans have announced they would run for Governor Bob McDonnell’s seat. Lt. Governor Bill Bolling and Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli announced they would run in the 2013 Gubernatorial race.

In Virginia, governors can not run for consecutive terms.

Terry McAuliffe is a businessman and Democratic Party leader who lives in from Fairfax.
