(WTVR) - Monthly sales at McDonald's drop for the first time in 9 years last month.
The sales for the month of October fell by 1.8 percent, that's the first time in nearly a decade that sales dropped... instead of increasing.
The fast food chain blames the weak economy.
But experts say McDonalds is also having a tough time keeping up with competition from other chains, including Chipotle and Panera. Additionally, in late September,McDonald's unveiled a new menuthat features the calories of each item.
