RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – If you’re eligible to vote absentee for the upcoming general election, you will have extra time to cast your ballot in person. This is according to the Virginia State Board of Elections.
On the next two Saturday’s before the election, general registrar offices and satellite offices will be open for in-person voting for at least eight hours.
Those days are October 27, and November 3rd.
You still must meet at least one of 17 eligibility requirements in order to vote absentee.
Eligible voters can complete their absentee ballot application and vote in the general registrar’s office or other designated location.
The last day to vote absentee in-person at the local registrar’s office is Saturday, November 3, 2012.
The recent changes to the voter ID laws apply to those voting absentee in-person.
