ARLINGTON, Va. (WTVR) – The man accused of throwing a Molotov cocktail at Ballston Commons Mall has been charged.
Leon A. Traille Jr., 29, has been charged with reckless endangerment, attempted malicious bodily injury by use of fire and use of a fire bomb.
Police say he threw a brown glass bottle filled with flammable liquid and matches taped to it into a food court at the northern Virginia mall.
It didn’t explode, but it did cause a fire that was put out. The mall was also closed for three hours while the FBI and ATF investigated.
Traille also faces a federal arson charge.
