Ashton Kutcher No. 1 on Forbes’ list of highest-paid TV actors

Posted

(CNN) — Ashton Kutcher’s move to “Two and a Half Men” has paid off.

The 34-year-old, who signed on to the show in May of last year, is No. 1 on Forbes’ list of the highest-paid actors on TV.

According to the publication, Kutcher made an estimated $24 million between May 2011 and May 2012. (His Emmy-winning co-star Jon Cryer, meanwhile, brought in around $13 million.)

No, Kutcher’s $24 million isn’t close to the $40 million that put former “Two and a Half Men” star Charlie Sheen at the top of this same list in 2011, but times have swiftly changed. Sheen, who has rebounded with a new TV show on FX, isn’t on the highest-paid TV actors list at all this year.

Following behind Kutcher are former “House” star Hugh Laurie, who made an estimated $18 million between May 2011 and May 2012, and one of the stars of the now defunct “Men of a Certain Age,” Ray Romano. With his voiceover work in the “Ice Age” franchise and his old sitcom “Everybody Loves Raymond” in syndication, Romano also earned an estimated $18 million.

Coming in at No. 4 on Forbes’ list is “30 Rock’s” Alec Baldwin with $15 million, and rounding out the top five is “NCIS” actor Mark Harmon, who also earned an estimated $15 million over the past year.
