NEW YORK CITY (WTVR) - Soft drink makers and local businesses filed suit against the city of New York saying the Board of Health overstepped its authority when it passed the ban on large sugary drinks.
The suit alleges that it should be up to the City Council to put a ban like that in place. The ban was approved by the health board and will go into effect in March, unless the lawsuit goes through.
