Construction will impact Patterson Ave. traffic

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR)—Sewer construction on Patterson Avenue will change the traffic pattern over the upcoming weeks.

Starting 9 a.m on Tuesday, Oct. 9, the Wastewater Division of the Department of Public Utilities (DPU) will perform a sewer construction project in the 4600 block of Patterson Avenue.

On that day, the leftmost westbound and eastbound lanes will be closed to traffic for the work hours 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Then at 9 a.m., on Wednesday, Oct. 10, and for the duration of the construction period, the leftmost westbound lane of Patterson Avenue will be closed 24 hours, seven days a week.

In addition, the leftmost eastbound lane will be closed during the work hours of 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday thru Friday.

Weather permitting; this project is expected to last ten to 12 business days.

Motorists are asked to proceed with caution around the construction area.

Construction area will be clearly marked with traffic control devices around the construction zone.
