PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – The state medical examiner’s office confirmed a Prince George teenager drowned after his car drove off Courthouse Road and into a swamp late last month. Marvin Massenburg Jr., 17, was driving to school when a Prince George Police Officer, responding to an alarm call, drove up from behind.
When Massenburg moved over to allow the police cruiser to pass, his Honda Accord ran off the road and into the swamp. The car overturned in the water, State Police spokeswoman Corinne Geller said shortly after the September 25 accident.
Prince George County Administrator Percy Ashcraft confirmed he received word from the Virginia Department of Transportation that guard rails will soon be installed at that spot.
