VALENCIA, Calif. (CNN) - A teenager has been hospitalized after an accident at a water park in California. A spokeswoman at the park said the 19-year-old cut in line, diving head-first down the Venom Drop slide at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor. Half-way down, he fell off the side.
It's not clear just how far he fell, but the Venom Drop is part of a 75-foot multiple-slide tower. The teen was taken to the hospital, where he was reportedly conscious and breathing on his own.
Lifeguards tell other riders to go down the slide feet-first with their ankles crossed and their arms across their chests.
