(WTVR)- United Airlines has announced plans to install slimmer seats to fit more passengers.
The airline is going to retrofit 125 of its planes with slim line seats, reducing the coach seat size from 18 to 17 inches.
The change will allow for 6 extra seats in the cabin, and will be made in 2013. United says passengers shouldn’t notice the change, especially since leg room won’t be affected.
Other major airlines have also announced plans to install slimmer seats to fit more passengers on board.
