Henrico quadruplets make history at Va.Tech

BLACKSBURG, Va. (WTVR) – Four siblings from Henrico County are making history at Virginia Tech this week, by becoming the first quadruplets to enroll at the school in its history.

Chris, Steve, Greg and Kate Lomaka moved onto campus this week and are now officially freshmen. They are each going to live in different dorms and have chosen different majors.

The siblings say while they will live apart, they’re glad to be on campus together.

“That homesickness that people usually will feel a lot of times, I don’t think it will be there, just because you know you have three other siblings going to the same school”, said Chis Lomaka.

Brother, Steve, concurred, “I’ve lived with them, but they’re more than my brothers and my sisters, they’re everything to me. They’re my life, so I’m just ecstatic to have them with me.”

Parents, Steve and Tina Lomaka had mixed emotions about the move. While dad is proud of the children, mom said she planned to drive alone so she could cry all the way back to Henrico County.

Prior to enrolling at Virginia Tech, the Lomaka’s attended Godwin High School in Henrico.

An older daughter, Lauren, is already living in Blacksburg, enrolled in the College of Osteopathic Medicine. A younger brother remains at home.
