RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - Missouri congressman Todd Akin made statements on a St. Louis morning show that have been making headlines. His use of the phrase "legitimate rape" and statements implying that women can prevent pregnancy in cases of rape have caused the Republican Party to pull funding from his campaign.
Other members of the U.S. House are under scrutiny after it an article from Politico said that house members went skinny dipping in the sea of Galilee last year on a fact-finding mission. One of the congressmen has issued an apology for the incident.
