(WTVR) - Virginia ranks among the worst states in the country for power plant pollution.
In fact, Virginia ranks 12th worst in the nation when it comes to exposing residents to toxic air pollution from coal fired power plants.
This comes from the natural resources defense council.
On a national level, the report found a 19% decrease in all toxins emitted from power plants in 2010.
The state's topping the toxic 20 include Kentucky, Ohio and Pennsylvania
