Posted

RICHMOND, Va (WTVR) – CNN is reporting presumptive GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney is planning a four day bus tour along the southeastern U.S., and that it will include a stop in Richmond.

CNN political writer Peter Hamby is reporting that Romney will kick off the tour on Aug. 10. Details are sparse at this time, but Romney is expected to make a stop in Richmond on Aug 11. He’s supposedly planning to stop in all three of the Commonwealth’s major population hubs that day: first the D.C. metro area, the traveling down I-95 into Richmond, before heading down to Norfolk.

According to CNN, Romney will spend the Aug. 12 in North Carolina and Aug. 13 in several Florida locations. He’s then expected to head to Ohio the following week.

Details are sparse at the moment, with no exact time or venue of the event known.

Republican sources caution CNN the tour is in the early planning stages, and details could change.
