RICHMOND, Va (WTVR) - The City of Richmond and The Metropolitan Junior Baseball League are joining forces for the Inner City Classic Tournament, the oldest and longest running inner city tournament in the country. The opening ceremonies are Tuesday, July 31, at the Diamond.
The Classic Tournament games begin on Wednesday August 1, 9am and continues through August 5 at baseball fields all over Richmond including the Diamond. A special morning workout session by fitness gurus "Lisa and Priest" of whole Life Styles Inc. is being offered to the public free Saturday morning at 9am in Byrd Park near Fountain Lake.
Fans will want to be in the stands at the Diamond Sunday, August 5th, Championship games will be played following a 9am Saint Paul's Baptist Church service.
