HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – An eastern Henrico couple is facing charges in connection to a family member’s murder last week.

Henrico police said 31-year-old Adam Dove, the brother of the victim, was charged Tuesday with possession of a firearm as a felon.

Dove was also charged with forgery on the day of the shooting since officials said he signed a false name on a traffic summons on May 26.

Additionally, his wife, 30-year-old Shellie Dove, was arrested on obstruction of justice charges Tuesday.

Police said both arrests are in connection to 35-year-old Lyinde M. Dove’s murder — and that their investigation into the homicide is ongoing.

Officers said Dove, of the 2800 block of Hawthorne Avenue, was found shot dead in the 1700 block of Parlow Drive on Thursday, July 12 just before 9 p.m.

During a sleepover the evening of the shooting, two 15-year-old girls told CBS 6 News’ Jeritta Patterson they heard the shots.

“I heard two gunshots and a police car and a fire truck and people screaming,” said Samantha Flippin.
