Jacksonville Beach, FL (WTVR)--About 7,500 pounds of seized cocaine arrived in Florida this morning, on a Navy ship. That's almost four tons!
WTKR, the sister station of CBS 6, had a reporter on the scene when the ship pulled to port.
The drugs were confiscated by the United States Navy, Coast Guard and Customs and Border Patrol during a six-month operation off the coasts of Central and South America.
They also seized about 320 pounds of marijuana.
The drugs have a estimated wholesale value of $93 million dollars, but street value would be about three times that--about $300 million.
