(CNN) – Researchers combed through about 10,000,000 tweets from American Twitter users over one week last month. The study focused on tweets including either the words: “church” or “beer” to look at cultural differences across the country.
There were slightly more “church” tweets nationwide, with the biggest numbers in the Southeast. Twitter users in the Northeast were most likely to talk about beer in 140 characters or less.
The biggest beer-to-tweet ratio?
That was San Francisco and Boston.
Dallas was the strongest church-tweeting city.
