Richmond, Va (WTVR) – A new auditor’s investigation reveals a Richmond City worker was overpaid for work she didn’t do.
The Inspector General’s report, released last week, found that the employee was paid more than $4400 dollars she didn’t earn.
The report also says a majority of the money that worker received was from falsifying vacation days, sick time and other leave.
The employee wasn’t named, but the report did identify her as a payroll clerk in the City Assessor’s office. She no longer works for the city.
