A health warning for anyone with cats. Their litter boxes could be making women suicidal.
A new report in the Archives of General Psychiatry found a parasite, T-Gondii, in cat feces. When it gets into the air, it can cause psychiatric problems.
The study also found women exposed to the parasite double the risk of attempting suicide.
Researchers say if you do have a cat, keeping the litter box clean at all times can lower that risk.
