POWHATAN COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – A cooling shelter is open for folks in Powhantan County who need to escape the extreme heat and do not have power.
The shelter, which will be open until 8 p.m., is at the Powhatan County Fairgrounds located at 4042 Anderson Highway.
