Richmond, VA (WTVR) — You’ll need to take extra precautions when you go outside the rest of the week.
With temperatures expected to soar well into the 90’s, local rescue crews say it’s important to drink plenty of fluids, wear light, loose fitting clothing, and stay inside during the hottest parts of the day.
“If you can, plan your day so you can do your jogging or exercise in the morning or late in the day, not during the heat of the day,” says Rob Lawrence with the Richmond Ambulance Authority.
The RAA says the heat can have the greatest impact on young children and the elderly. So if you do have neighbors who are seniors, you should check on them often.
