Asymmetrical aging from chronic sun exposure

(WTVR) - The New England Journal of Medicine published a report that demonstrates how  sun exposure had damaged one side of truck driver's face.

The man shows advanced aging on the left side of his face, the side that was exposed for 28years while he drove a delivery truck.

The condition is called Unilateral Dermatoheliosis

The truck's side window did little to protect the man's skin from Ultraviolet A and B rays. The publication says that Ultraviolet A (UVA) rays transmit through window glass, penetrating the epidermis and upper layers of dermis.
