Facebook is developing technology to allow younger children to use the social-networking site with parental supervision.
Facebook currently bans users under 13 years of age. But many kids lie about their age to set up Facebook accounts.
The new technology would be a way for Facebook to formally accept kids under 13, and comply with a federal law that requires parental consent before collecting personal information from children.
