RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – Part of downtown Richmond could soon become the city’s official arts district.
City council is scheduled to take up a vote on the arts district proposal during a meeting Tuesday.
The district will sit along Broad Street, stretching west to Belvidere and as far east as 13th Street.
The area is where the popular First Fridays Art Walk currently takes place.
If the arts district is approved, area businesses could be eligible for tax incentives in order to promote art and culture.
