(CNN) – It’s a new era in the comic book world. In Astonishing X-men #50, Jean-Paul Beaubier – known as Northstar – proposes to his boyfriend Kyle Jinadu.
The issue of the comic book is on sale today.
Marvel’s Editor in Chief says the brand strives to make its characters relationships and stories grounded in reality. The wedding issue comes out June 20th.
Some comic book retailers will host wedding parties at their stores to mark the event.
