RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - A Richmond woman stricken with cancer says she feels lucky to be alive.
However, while in the midst of battling the disease, she found herself in a different kind of fight.
In fact, she said she received a letter from her employer stating her services were no longer needed.
But is it legal for companies to lay off employees while they are on sick leave?
