CHESTERFIELD, Va. (WTVR) – Officials said all lanes on Route 288 south are back open after a cement spill closed part of the road Friday afternoon.
The right and center lanes on Route 288 south at Route 360/Hull Street Road had been closed, but were reopened around 4:15 p.m. The ramp from Route 288 south to Route 360 east had also been closed.
Officials said the closures came after a concrete truck spilled its load and made a big mess.
Cleanup had been expected to continue through rush hour, but traffic was still very congested in the area.
