(WTVR) - A new study shows many parents with teens are willing to spend a lot of money on prom.
The study--conducted by Visa--revealed families spend an average of $1,078 each on prom.
This is a 33% boost from last year.
The survey also revealed families in the northeast will spend twice the money than any other region.
And who pays the most?
Parents cover 61% of the cost while the teens cover the remaining 39%.
