HOPEWELL, Va. (WTVR) – Police officers, sheriff’s deputies and other members of law enforcement and their families gathered Wednesday morning at the Hopewell Moose Lodge to honor those who have died in the line of duty.
The ceremony including a candle-lighting service and bagpipes.
The list of honored fallen officers included Charles City County Sheriff's Deputy Michael Walizer, killed in a crash in March.
