RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – Patchy, shallow, dense fog developed early Friday morning in central Virginia with clear skies aloft, light to calm winds, and ample moisture near the ground. Visibilities can suddenly drop below a half-mile, especially in rural areas, near open fields, low-lying spots, and along waterways. Please use extra caution on your morning travels. Slow down, allow extra distance between you and surrounding vehicles, limit in-vehicle distractions, and keep your headlights on (even after sunrise).
