RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – The satirical news program, The Daily Show, is expected at local restaurant Baja Bean this Saturday. Managing Partner Jeff Allums, confirmed that earlier this week a manager received a phone call from a producer scouting locations.
The restaurant isn’t sure who will be there from the program, but they do know that they plan on talking to customers about President Obama’s visit to Richmond earlier that day. According to Allums, they are expecting anything from just a couple representatives shooting some video, to one of the shows reporters working on a story.
The only way that Baja Bean was able to confirm that this really was The Daily Show, was an area code that traced back the producer’s call to Manhattan.
One thing that Allums does know for certain, is that this news is only going to make his busiest day of the year (Cinco De Mayo) even busier.
Representatives are expected to arrive around 6pm Saturday evening. Baja Bean is located at 1520 West Main Street Richmond, VA 23220.
