CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – Several new developments came out of the Friday morning court hearing for 70-year-old Estelle Virginia Jones. Chesterfield Police arrested Jones Thursday for the murders of her husband and son.

According to an arrest warrant, police said her husband, Joseph Jones, was killed on Wednesday, April 18. The couple's son, Perry Jones, 50, was killed Thursday, Chesterfield prosecutor Duncan Minton said after court to CBS 6 senior reporter Wayne Covil. Their bodies were discovered in the family's home along the 11900 block of River Road Thursday evening.

Minton said it was Estelle Jones who called 911 around 5:30 p.m. Thursday, but did not go into detail about what was said during that call.

During Friday's hearing Minton indicated a hand gun was used to kill both men.

A judge ordered Estelle Jones held without bond. She is due back in court for a preliminary hearing July 10, 2012.
