The United States Geological Survey has confirmed that at 11:21 p.m. on Sunday night a 3.1 magnitude aftershock earthquake hit near Mineral, Va.
Reports came into the newsroom, including residents the Richmond metro area feeling the tremor.
The epicenter was measured at a depth of approximately 3 miles and was located at:
- 6 miles from Mineral, VA
- 8 miles from Louisa, VA
- 16 miles from Columbia, VA
- 38 miles from Richmond, VA
