Strip club offers to help struggling little league

INGLEWOOD, Ca. (WTVR) - A financially strapped Little League in Southern California needed cash to save its season and a local local strip club stepped in to help. The gentlemen's club, which is near the ballpark, donated $1,200.

"You know who's ever willing to get behind the kids in a positive way we have to be willing to support those people as well," said little league mom Tanya Dempsey.

But not everyone was happy once the parents and the league found out where the money came from.

"We do not want the money from a strip bar. I think for us if, we do need the money but we will go some other avenue," said Little League President Roberto Aguire Lennox.

The league president said he's giving the check back and will try to re-negotiate fees for the ball park. The club said it has been very active in the community and has donated to the little league in the past.
