VIDEO VAULT: ‘Controversial’ mule dive at the State Fair of Virginia

Posted

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - The State Fair of Virginia has until 5:00 p.m. Wednesday to submit a plan to reorganize its finances to a federal bankruptcy court. If it fails to come up with a plan many of organization’s assets, including the Meadow Event Park, could be turned over to its creditors. [Click here]

Before it moved to Meadow Event Park in 2009, the fair was held in Henrico County at what is now the Richmond Raceway Complex.

In 1988 the fair featured a "controversial" act -- mule diving.

Let's open the CBS 6 Video Vault -- and jump back to Sept. 27, 1988.
