Tornado recovery started as death toll rises

The death toll now stands at 38 from a string of tornadoes that ripped across the south and Midwest, from Georgia to Indiana. Two tornadoes hit Indiana, one with winds of about 200 miles per hour.

Hundreds of homes and buildings are now a pile of rubble as recovery efforts shift into high gear.
