(CNN) – The alleged gunman in Monday’s fatal shootings at Chardon High School fired at least six shots from a .22-caliber pistol, according to a CNN report.
CNN’s Susan Candiotti reports that the weapon was recovered from inside the school, after being dropped by the gunman.
A law enforcement source has told CNN that the weapon used typically holds a clip that can contain between 6-10 rounds of ammunition.
The alleged shooter, Thomas ‘TJ’ Lane, is scheduled to appear before a Geauga County Juvenile Court judge on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. He is the only individual arrested in connection with the shootings.
Lane is accused of shooting five students in various areas of the school on Monday morning. Three of those students have died from injures suffered in the attack.
