RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – Gas prices rose in Richmond over the last week, just not as high as some experts warned.
Last week the analysts at GasBuddy.com said gas prices in Central Virginia could increase by as much as 20 cents over the weekend.
Monday morning the website reported gas prices rose a little more than six cents in the past week.
RichmondGasPrices.com reported the average prices for gas in Central Virginia was $3.55 a gallon. That is nine cents below the national average, but 31 cents more than what Richmond drivers paid for gas last year at this time.
