Educators rally for Gov. to increase education funding

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - State educators rally at Capitol to get Governor McDonnell to increase education funding.

Since 2008, the Virginia Education Association says that the state has permanently cut  $1.6 billion in education spending .

Governor McDonnell has proposed putting $438 million dollars into the budget, but educators said that is way short of what the state needs.
